How old do I need to be to hire a camper van?
Our camper vans are insured for anyone over the age of 21 and under the age of 70. However, there are some restrictions for certain occupations and we will need details of this and your driving history.
Can I take a dog?
Yes. We allow pets in our camper vans but it will incur an additional cleaning charge and we do ask that common sense prevails when it comes to the number or size of your pets.
Can I take the camper van abroad?
Yes. We allow travel to all European Union countries but there are additional costs for breakdown cover and the inclusion of an EU ‘travel pack’ which contains items required to be carried by law in some countries.
Can I take a camper van to a festival?
Yes you can. Just remember that wherever you take it you are responsible for its safe return and the cost of any repair or additional cleaning required. Festivals are fun but beware, they can be tough on vehicles.
How many people can sleep in the camper van?
A camper van with a pop-up roof will accommodate 2 adults and 2 children (under 12). A high top van will accommodate 4 adults. The addition of an awning will give extra accommodation for two adults in any van.
How economical are the camper vans?
The modern vans will achieve between 40 and 50 MPG if driven sensibly. Older vintage vehicles do a lot less.
Do you supply bedding?
Yes we can but we strongly advise that you bring your own if possible – it’s much nicer to sleep in your own. Sleeping bags work best because they don’t take up too much room when not in use but you can also use quilts and sheets if you prefer.
Do the camper vans have everything I need for my holiday?
Yes, we have tried to think of everything you might need and the vans have cutlery and crockery for 4 people plus cooking utensils, pots and pans etc. If there are more people in your party we can include extra if needed.
Can I tow a trailer?
Do they have a roof rack for my surfboard?
